Piccadilly Circus gets 48-hour Star Trek rebrand

Star Trek fans in London were greeted with a surprise space age treat at Piccadilly Circus earlier last week, as the station rebranded ahead of a new series of the show.

The Tube stop became Picard-illy for 48 hours, ahead of the launch of Star Trek: Picard on Amazon Prime later this month.

Captain Jean-Luc Picard led the starship Enterprise as it boldly went where no man had gone before in the show’s third series, Star Trek: The Next Generation.

For 48 hours from 16/01/20, roundels and signs at Piccadilly Underground were rebranded in honour of the Enterprise’s most celebrated captain.

There were also special Star Trek themed tannoy announcements to help passengers live long and prosper as they use the station.

The station name was even replaced on the map of the Bakerloo line. The attention to detail was certainly out of this world!
