Job description
We are looking for an interim HR Manager to work across the full cycle of HR management responsibilities. Reporting to the HR Director you will take full responsibility for delivering a timely, accurate, and client focussed HR service to the business.
Delivering a high-quality and proactive end to end HR service to the team. Leading and developing our HR system and leading our recruitment and selection processes, along with managing the day-to-day administration of our HR function.

Key Areas of Responsibility
Recruitment :
- Manage the recruitment process from end to end
- Work with people managers to source candidates for roles, aiming for in-house resourcing where possible
- Manage the candidate journey and assessment process, including CV screening, arranging and participating in interviews
- Ensure hiring managers have the skills to recruit effectively and understand their commitment to diversity
- Implement processes and practices to ensure efficient recruitment processes and robust recruitment hiring decision making
- Introduce and manage employer brand initiatives
HR System:
- Manage HR system ensuring it is efficient, accurate and user friendly
- Ensure data input is accurate and compliant
- Lead on development of HR system
HR Management
- Instigate and manage key HR/management processes that support the execution of priorities within the Company, such as performance management, compensation management and talent management.
- Support, coach and develop people managers in the delivery of HR policies and processes
- Manage effective performance management through the business, ensuring that people managers are well informed about the processes and have the skills to deliver what the business needs
- Develop talent management processes for talent identification, career development and retention
- Handle employee relation matters including investigations, disciplinary and grievance meetings ad required ensuring legal requirements are met
- Provide support on compensation and benefits structure
- Coordinate the onboarding processes for new joiners
- Manage absence management processes
Project Work :
- Manage and participate in project work and continuous improvements
- Manage/lead on/participate in other project work as required
General Administration :
- Deliver a timely, accurate and efficient HR administrative support service
- Produce and issue offer letters, contracts of employment, reference requests and changes to terms and conditions documentation
- Maintain employee documentation using HR system and Teams and ensure that all documentation is present, complete, accurate and in compliance with employment legislation and regulations
- Manage the administration of all HR processes including new joiner processes, probation, performance reviews, development plans, salary reviews and exit interviews
- Coordinate with payroll on pay related matters
- Prepare and produce management information reporting as required
You will have demonstrable previous experience in a previous HR Manager role, within an entrepreneurial SME environment, either as a standalone practitioner, or working within a small team. You will have a degree in HRM, Organisation Psychology or be CIPD qualified, with experience of HRM software and a keen interest in this particular area.
You will have recruitment experience including ATS systems and headhunting software.
You will have excellent IT skills in database management, Excel Word and PowerPoint, high attention to detail, as well as strong organisational, planning and communication skills, with the ability to manage conflicting and competing demands effectively.
Personality wise you must be confident and have a professional manner and be resilient, determined and tenacious – enabling you to work effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and changing environment.
You will be reliable, trustworthy, diplomatic and able to manage conflict resolution situations. And importantly an excellent team player.
